From the factory, most trucks sit taller in the rear than the front. Some are less than an inch tail high, others are 2-3" tail high. The purpose of this is a couple reasons, mainly aerodynamics for better fuel economy as well as for appearance and safety (headlight direction) when the bed is loaded to max capacity – because we all use our trucks for truck things, right? Well while that may make sense, majority of the time your truck is probably unloaded and has a tail high stance. A leveling kit is used to raise the front end up to level out the stance to the rear of the vehicle. In addition to improving the stance this also allows clearance for large wheel and tire packages.
Leveling kits can range from a basic spacer to get the look with no improvement to vehicle performance up to FOX coilover conversions with high strength control arms and other upgrades designed to get the most out of your vehicle, improve on/off-road ride quality and capability. BDS focuses on performance leveling kit and lift kit solutions.
