While always a smart option to upgrade, a steering stabilizer is not a requirement with installing a lift kit and larger tire/wheel combos. Most vehicles have a steering stabilizer from the factory which is sufficient for stock size tires, however when upgrading to the larger mass of aftermarket tires/wheels it is common the small factory steering stabilizer simply isn’t up to the task to control them. BDS offers both single stabilizer kits that upgrade to a larger cylinder for increased damping (many of which install into the factory location) as well as dual stabilizer setups designed to further enhance steering control, steering responsiveness. This is more evident if opting for wider (12-16") wheel/tire setups. It should be noted that while a steering stabilizer is a great option, you should always ensure the vehicles alignment is set properly.
